Sober As A Judge
"Sober As A Judge" was a quick 24 hour turnaround project, For the "Devs That Jam GGJ 2024".
Sober As A Judge puts you, the player, in control of a drunkard, who gets kicked out of the bar. But doesnt want to stop drinking! so you stagger your way around the "city", Trying to find more Beer Bottles to satisfy your cravings. But the pesky Police officers are on the lookout for you! And they will try to Detain you for being a public nuisance. Avoid the Police and Drink as much as you can!
Devs That Jam 2024 Submission:
Clowd Chaser
For the April Devs That Jam 2024 36 Hour Game Jam. The theme was "Follow" So I Solo-worked on a small farming simulation game, Where you play the Farmer, Who has a cow-herding Dog. That follows the player around, and you send the dog to herd the cows back to their pens. Some light Farming mechanics also, as a proof of concept (Plant onions and carrots, with until they grow, then harvest them)
Grumpy Grampa
Grumpy Grampa was the Initial Project idea for the "Devs That Jam GGJ 2024", But due to my lack of knowledge at the time. The Idea fell through and was unable to be completed. Hence why i moved onto "Sober As A Judge" Instead.
The Premise of "Grumpy Grampa" was, You ARE the Grumpy Grampa, Sat on his porch in the mid-afternoon. Enjoying the peace and quiet. Until suddenly. The neighbourhood kids start making noise and EXISTING. So you try your hardest to scare those pesky kids away! With their skateboards, and music boxes, hanging around in groups like THUGS. Better scare them all off before your heart medication stops working!
Untitled Top-Down "Command and Conquer-esque" prototype
This Project was a mere prototype, to see how quickly I could get a functioning prototype of a game, with the theme "Control more than one character at a time!".
So my natural instinct went back to "Command and Conquer" Where the Player plays a Top down "Commander", and points and clicks to get their troops to move to specific locations. The bulk of this Prototype was basic AI Behaviour Trees, Bound to a mouse click. Where one "Leader" led the charge, and their Scouts ran off ahead to do recon on the area that was clicked on. And when the area was clear. The Leader and troops moved to the area. During this project, i was learning Behaviour Trees. To utilize in future projects!
